I did not receive an order confirmation. What should I do?

First, check your spam or junk mail folder.

If you still cannot find the confirmation, email us at store@purewaste.com. Include your name and the email address you used when placing the order.

Can I change my order after placing it?

Usually not.

Orders are sent for picking quickly after they are placed, so we cannot normally change products, sizes, colours or quantities in an existing order.

If you need something different, contact us as soon as possible at store@purewaste.com.

Can I cancel my order before it ships?

Possibly.

If the order has not yet been dispatched, contact us immediately at store@purewaste.com. We will cancel it if the order has not progressed too far in the fulfilment process.

You can also use our Return, Exchange, Cancellation & Claim form:

https://purewaste.com/returns-exchanges-cancellations-and-claims/

Your statutory right of withdrawal is separate and is explained below.

I entered the wrong address, email address or phone number. What should I do?

Contact us immediately at store@purewaste.com.

If the order has not progressed too far, we will try to correct the information. Once a parcel has entered the delivery process, changes may no longer be possible.

Can I change my payment method after placing an order?

The payment method cannot be changed on an existing order.

If the order can still be cancelled, you can place a new order using your preferred payment method.

My payment failed, is still pending, or appears twice. What should I do?

Contact us at store@purewaste.com and include, where possible:

How quickly is my order processed?

Orders are normally processed within 1–2 business days.

Once your order has been packed and prepared for delivery, you will receive a dispatch confirmation with tracking information.

How can I track my order?

Use the tracking link included in your dispatch confirmation email.

Tracking information may not update immediately after the parcel has been prepared. The first meaningful update normally appears when the carrier scans the parcel into its network.

Why has my tracking information not updated?

There can be a delay between the parcel being prepared at our warehouse and the carrier's first physical scan.

Carriers normally collect and update parcels on business days.

If the tracking has not progressed after the normal processing and delivery estimate for your order, contact us at store@purewaste.com.

What should I do if my parcel appears to be lost?

Contact us at store@purewaste.com.

We will investigate the shipment with the carrier.

My parcel or its contents arrived damaged. What should I do?

Contact us at store@purewaste.com or submit a claim using our:

https://purewaste.com/returns-exchanges-cancellations-and-claims/

Please keep the parcel and packaging and send us photographs of the damage where possible.

An item is missing from my order. What should I do?

Contact us at store@purewaste.com and tell us your order number and which item is missing.

We will investigate the order.

Can I pick up my order from the Pure Waste warehouse?

Yes.

Warehouse collection is free.

Pure Waste Textiles Oy
Läkkisepäntie 11 A
00620 Helsinki
Finland

Opening hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–15:00.

Please wait until you receive a pickup confirmation before coming to collect your order.

Can you combine two separate orders into one shipment?

No.

We process orders quickly and do not consolidate separate orders into one shipment.

What happens if I do not collect my parcel?

Not collecting a parcel is not the same as cancelling or withdrawing from an order.

If you want to cancel or withdraw from your purchase, you must notify us separately using our online cancellation function, statutory withdrawal form or another clear method such as email.

If no cancellation or withdrawal notice has been made and a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected:

  • we refund the product value after the parcel has been returned to us
  • the original delivery charge is not refunded
  • we deduct a €3.90 return and handling fee.

If you still want the products, place a new order in our online store.

Do you deliver outside the EU?

We do not currently offer normal non-EU delivery directly through the online-store checkout.

For a consumer order, contact store@purewaste.com and we can check whether a separate delivery arrangement is possible.

For business orders, contact sales@purewaste.com.

Who pays customs duties and import charges on specially arranged non-EU deliveries?

Unless otherwise agreed, the recipient is responsible for customs clearance, import duties, import VAT and other applicable local import charges.

What happens if an international shipment is returned because of customs or missing information?

These situations are handled case by case.

If a parcel is returned because of customs clearance problems, incomplete recipient information or failure to complete required import formalities, direct return, customs, storage or other third-party costs may be taken into account to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Contact us at store@purewaste.com if this happens.

What is the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal?

For most online purchases, consumers have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods.

You do not need to give a reason.

If one order is delivered in several separate shipments, the withdrawal period normally begins when you receive the final item or shipment.

You may also notify us of withdrawal before the goods have been delivered.

You can notify us using:

  • our Return, Exchange, Cancellation & Claim form
  • the statutory withdrawal form
  • a clear email to store@purewaste.com
  • another clear statement communicating your decision to withdraw.

Our online form does not require a customer account. After submitting your withdrawal through the online form, you will receive an email acknowledgement.

Online form:
https://purewaste.com/returns-exchanges-cancellations-and-claims/

Returning a parcel without notifying us, or simply not collecting the parcel, is not by itself a withdrawal notice.

After notifying us of withdrawal, the goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the withdrawal notice.

What is the Pure Waste 30-day return policy?

In addition to your statutory rights, Pure Waste gives consumers an extended 30-day return and exchange period.

Please register your return or exchange within 30 days of receiving your order and send or bring the products back within 14 days after registration.

If you are only slightly late, contact us. We review late returns case by case and may accept them at our discretion.

The extended Pure Waste return policy does not reduce or replace your statutory consumer rights.

Can I try the product on before deciding whether to keep it?

Yes.

During the statutory withdrawal period, you can inspect and try on the garment in the same way you reasonably could in a physical shop.

If a product has been handled more than necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, size or fit and its value has decreased as a result, you may be responsible for the diminished value.

For returns made under our voluntary extended return period after the statutory withdrawal period, products must be:

  • unworn apart from normal fitting
  • unwashed
  • clean
  • in saleable condition
  • with the original swing tags attached.

Products that have clearly been worn, washed, stained or otherwise used may be refused under the voluntary extended return policy.

Can sale and outlet products be returned?

Yes.

Sale and outlet products can be returned under the applicable return rules unless a statutory exception or a specific condition stated before purchase applies.

How do I make a return?

For the fastest processing, use our:

https://purewaste.com/returns-exchanges-cancellations-and-claims/

Returning from Finland by Posti

  1. Register your return.
  2. Pack the products securely.
  3. Write the following return information on the parcel:

Asiakaspalautus 640755
Pure Waste Textiles Oy
Läkkisepäntie 11 A
00620 Helsinki

  1. Take the parcel to a Posti service point.
  2. Keep any receipt or return identifier provided by Posti until your refund has been completed.

The return shipment is prepaid at the service point.

We deduct the applicable €3.90 return fee per physical return parcel from your refund.

Returning from outside Finland

  1. Register your return.
  2. Pack the products securely.
  3. Send the parcel to:

Pure Waste Textiles Oy
Läkkisepäntie 11 A
00620 Helsinki
Finland

You arrange and pay for the return shipment yourself.

We recommend using a tracked delivery method. The return remains your responsibility until it reaches us.

How much does a return cost?

Finland

Postal return through Posti: €3.90 per physical return parcel.

Return to our Helsinki warehouse: Free.

Outside Finland

You pay the return carrier directly.

We do not deduct an additional €3.90 Pure Waste return fee from customer-arranged international returns.

What happens to the original delivery charge when I return an order?

Full return

If the entire order is returned and accepted under either the statutory right of withdrawal or our voluntary 30-day return policy, we refund:

  • the amount paid for the accepted returned products
  • the amount corresponding to the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method, such as home delivery or express delivery, the additional delivery premium is not refunded.

The applicable return cost is deducted separately.

Partial return

If you keep part of the order:

  • the accepted returned products are refunded
  • the original delivery charge is not refunded
  • the normal applicable return fee applies.

We do not retrospectively charge a new outbound delivery fee merely because the value of the products you keep falls below the original free-shipping threshold.

How does an exchange work?

Postal exchanges are handled by placing a new replacement order.

  1. Place a new order for the size, colour or product you want.
  2. Register the original product as an exchange using our Return, Exchange, Cancellation & Claim form.
  3. Enter the new replacement order number in the form.
  4. Return the original product to us.
  5. We refund the accepted returned product without deducting the €3.90 Pure Waste return fee.

The replacement order is a separate purchase, so current product prices, delivery charges and free-shipping thresholds apply.

Are exchanges free?

A verified exchange has no Pure Waste return fee.

The replacement order is still a normal new order, so its usual delivery charge may apply.

If all products in the original order are returned as a verified exchange, we also refund the original standard delivery charge.

Warehouse exchanges are free of return fees.

For exchanges from outside Finland, you pay the carrier cost for returning the original item yourself.

Can I exchange a product for a different colour or a different product?

Yes.

Because the replacement is placed as a new order, you can choose another size, colour or product.

The replacement order is charged at its current price. The original accepted returned product is refunded separately at the price you originally paid.

Can I reserve a replacement size?

Sometimes.

Contact us at store@purewaste.com or by phone before placing the replacement order.

A reservation is only confirmed once our customer service has confirmed it to you.

What if I forget to enter my replacement order number?

Contact us.

We can usually find the replacement order and connect it to your return manually.

What happens if I both exchange and return products in the same parcel?

You can return them together.

If a parcel contains both products registered as exchanges and products being returned for a normal refund, we deduct the €3.90 return fee once for that physical parcel.

Can I return products from different orders in the same parcel?

Yes.

Register the returns for each order and make sure we can identify which products belong to which order.

If the products are returned from Finland in one physical Posti return parcel, the normal return fee is charged once for that parcel.

Can I return one order in several parcels?

Yes, although we recommend returning everything together where possible.

For Finnish Posti returns, the €3.90 return fee applies separately to each physical return parcel.

Do I need to include a paper return form in the parcel?

Not if you registered the return through our online form.

If you notified us by another method, make sure we can identify the return. Including your name and order number with the parcel is helpful.

Will I receive tracking for my return?

Pure Waste does not currently send separate return-tracking notifications.

When returning through Posti, keep any receipt or return identifier provided by Posti until your refund has been completed.

What should I do if my return parcel is lost?

Return from Finland

Contact us at store@purewaste.com and provide any receipt or return identifier you received from Posti.

We will investigate the shipment.

Return sent from outside Finland

Contact us and the carrier you used.

For customer-arranged international returns, the parcel remains your responsibility until it is delivered to us.

Can I return an order directly to the Pure Waste warehouse?

Yes.

Bring the products to:

Pure Waste Textiles Oy
Läkkisepäntie 11 A
00620 Helsinki

Monday–Friday, 09:00–15:00.

Give the products to our staff and provide your order number.

There is no return fee for warehouse returns.

Refunds are made to the original payment method. We do not refund online-store purchases in cash at the warehouse.

When will my refund be processed?

For statutory withdrawals, payments due are refunded without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first.

For all accepted returns, we normally aim to process the return within seven days after it arrives at our warehouse.

Once we initiate the refund, the time it takes to appear depends on your payment provider, bank or card issuer.

Where will my refund be paid?

Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless another method has been expressly agreed with you.

How do I make a claim about a faulty product?

Claims are separate from our voluntary 30-day return policy.

If you believe a product is faulty, use our:

https://purewaste.com/returns-exchanges-cancellations-and-claims/

or contact store@purewaste.com.

Describe the problem and include photographs where they help us understand the issue.

Please wait for our instructions before returning a product that is the subject of a claim.

Are claims limited to 30 days?

No.

The 30-day return period does not limit your statutory rights if a product is faulty or otherwise does not conform to the purchase contract.

What happens if a product is faulty?

The primary remedies for a faulty product are repair or replacement.

The consumer generally has the right to choose between repair and replacement, subject to the conditions and limitations provided by law.

The remedy must be provided within a reasonable time, without cost to the consumer and without causing significant inconvenience.

If repair or replacement is not possible or is not carried out as required, the consumer may, depending on the circumstances and applicable law, be entitled to a price reduction or termination of the purchase and a refund.

The normal €3.90 return fee does not apply to an accepted product claim.

Pure Waste covers the necessary return or replacement delivery costs relating to an accepted claim.

What if I received the wrong product?

Use our Return, Exchange, Cancellation & Claim form or email store@purewaste.com.

Describe the issue and wait for our return instructions.

We cover the necessary costs of correcting our mistake.

What if the parcel or product was damaged during delivery?

Contact us as soon as possible.

Keep the packaging and, where possible, take photographs of:

  • the outer parcel
  • the shipping label
  • the damaged packaging
  • the damaged product.

You can contact us at store@purewaste.com or submit the information through our claim form.

Can I return a Pure Waste product bought from another retailer directly to Pure Waste?

The retailer that sold you the product is primarily responsible for the purchase and for correcting defects in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Returns and refunds should therefore normally be addressed to that retailer first.

Pure Waste cannot refund a purchase price that was paid to another retailer, although we may assist with product information where appropriate.

What materials are Pure Waste products made from?

Many Pure Waste garments use mechanically recycled pre-consumer cotton together with recycled polyester.

Composition varies between products and production batches, and some products use other fibres.

Always check the individual product page and care label for the exact composition of the product you are buying.

Why do you use recycled cotton?

Mechanical recycling allows existing cotton textile material, such as production cutting waste, to be processed into fibre and used again as raw material.

This means recycled material can replace part of the virgin raw material that would otherwise be needed for the product.

Why do some products contain polyester?

Mechanical recycling shortens cotton fibres.

Blending recycled cotton with a stronger supporting fibre can improve yarn strength and the durability of the finished fabric.

Where polyester is used, check the individual product page for the exact fibre composition.

Where can I find the size measurements?

Every product page includes a size chart.

Our size charts show garment measurements, not body measurements.

How should I choose my size?

The most reliable method is to measure a similar garment that already fits you well and compare its measurements with the product size chart.

For a closer fit, choose the smaller suitable size. For a looser fit, choose the larger suitable size.

If you are unsure, contact store@purewaste.com and tell us which product and size you are considering.

How does your unisex sizing work?

Fit varies between styles.

Rather than relying on a general conversion between men's and women's sizes, compare the garment measurements shown on the individual product page with a similar garment that already fits you well.

The product-specific size chart is always the best reference.

Will Pure Waste garments shrink in the wash?

Some fabrics are prewashed or otherwise finished to reduce dimensional change.

Minor changes can still occur depending on the material and how the garment is washed and dried.

Always follow the care instructions on the individual product label.

How should I wash my Pure Waste garment?

Always follow the care label on the individual product.

Different materials and products may have different washing and drying requirements, so the care label is the primary source of instructions.

Can recycled materials vary in colour or surface?

Yes.

Small variations in shade, texture or fibre appearance can occur in recycled materials because the raw material comes from existing textile material rather than newly produced uniform virgin fibre.

These variations can be a normal characteristic of recycled textile material.

Why can I sometimes see small coloured fibres in a light-coloured garment?

Recycled cotton is produced from existing textile material that is sorted before recycling.

Small contrasting fibres can occasionally remain visible after sorting and mechanical recycling, particularly in light-coloured fabrics.

Do products containing recycled polyester release microfibres?

Synthetic fibres such as polyester can release microfibres during use and washing.

Follow the individual product's care instructions and avoid unnecessary washing. A suitable microfibre-filtering laundry bag or washing-machine filter can also be used where appropriate.

Will sold-out products be restocked?

Core Classics products are normally replenished.

Products from limited collections may not be restocked.

If the size or product you need is sold out, email store@purewaste.com and we can check the current stock and replenishment situation.

We prefer specific, verifiable information over broad environmental or social claims.

The information below is therefore limited to the products, processes and documentation to which each statement applies.

For current certificates and supporting documentation, contact store@purewaste.com.

Where are Pure Waste products manufactured?

Pure Waste products are manufactured by different production partners, currently mainly in India and Bangladesh, depending on the product and production batch.

The country of origin is stated on the individual product and its labelling.

The country of manufacture itself is not presented as proof of environmental or social performance.

Are all Pure Waste products undyed?

No.

We do not use “undyed” as a general claim for all Pure Waste products.

Whether dyeing or another colour-related finishing process is used depends on the individual material, product and production process.

Where a specific Pure Waste product is described as undyed or as using the colour of the recycled raw material, that claim applies only to the documented product or material concerned.

Are Pure Waste products chemical-free?

No.

We do not describe Pure Waste products or textile manufacturing broadly as “chemical-free”.

Products placed on the EU market must comply with applicable chemical restrictions, including relevant requirements under REACH.

What is the Global Recycled Standard (GRS)?

The Global Recycled Standard is a third-party standard covering recycled material and specified chain-of-custody, processing, environmental, chemical and social requirements.

As of September 2026, Pure Waste Textiles Oy holds a GRS scope certificate valid until 6 December 2026. The scope covers specified activities including brand, trading, warehousing and distribution.

A scope certificate does not mean that every product sold by Pure Waste is automatically GRS-certified.

Product-specific GRS claims depend on the applicable certification chain and transaction-level documentation for the goods concerned.

What is the difference between a GRS scope certificate and a transaction certificate?

A scope certificate shows that a specific organisation and specified activities are covered by the certification system during a defined period.

A transaction certificate relates specified certified goods to an actual transaction or shipment.

For this reason, we do not use an organisation's scope certificate alone as proof that every product it manufactures, trades or sells is GRS-certified.

How do you monitor working conditions at manufacturing partners?

We use available third-party social-monitoring information alongside our supplier relationships and follow-up.

We do not describe amfori BSCI or SMETA audits as product certifications.

For example, Vardhan Apparels LLP, one of our manufacturing partners in India, underwent a full amfori BSCI social monitoring audit by TÜV SÜD in May 2026.

The audit covered areas including working conditions, occupational health and safety, remuneration, working hours, child and forced labour, discrimination, environmental protection and ethical business behaviour.

One audit or monitoring report does not prove that every production site, supplier or production batch is free from risk.

What is SMETA?

SMETA stands for Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit.

It is an audit methodology used to assess working conditions and related management practices.

A SMETA audit is not a product certification and should not be understood as proof that all operations or products of an organisation have been certified.

How do you calculate your historical water-use figures?

Our historical water-use figures are based on a cradle-to-gate Life Cycle Assessment prepared by REMO BV.

The assessment concerned a specific 200 g Pure Waste T-shirt made from 60% mechanically recycled cotton and 40% recycled polyester.

It compared this product with two virgin-material reference T-shirts using the production assumptions specified in the study.

For that specific assessment, the calculated water use was approximately:

Assessed product Calculated water use per 200 g T-shirt
Pure Waste recycled-material T-shirt approximately 1 litre
60% virgin cotton / 40% virgin polyester reference approximately 1,426 litres
100% virgin cotton reference approximately 2,375 litres

In that assessment, the difference between the Pure Waste T-shirt and the equivalent 60/40 virgin-material reference was approximately 1,425 litres per T-shirt.

These figures apply only to the specific product, composition, reference products and methodology used in that assessment.

We do not automatically apply these figures to all current Pure Waste products.
